Ryan Anglim is reporting in The Daily Mail members of Civil Services Employees Association Local 7000 conducted a brief informational picketing session around the Greene County Office Building in Catskill, Wed., Mar. 25. The shouting protesters served as a reminder that the union’s contract expired at the end of 2012, and that negotiations with the county remain unresolved. Chris VanKuren, a senior caseworker for the Greene County Social Services Department, said the union rejected yet another offer from the county this month. The proposal entailed no raise for 2013 and 2014, a non-retroactive, two percent raise for 2015, a 2.5 percent raise for 2016 and a $750 stipend to compensate for the two years with no raise.
