The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the region. There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon into evening. The thunderstorms will form ahead of upper level disturbance and a surface trough. The main severe threat with the storms will be damaging winds of 58 mph or greater. The storms will produce some very heavy rainfall.

Today: A slight chance of showers before 10 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 3 p.m. Some storms could be severe, with heavy rain. Partly sunny. High near 85. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Wednesday night, showers and thunderstorms likely before 3 a.m., then a slight chance of showers after 5 a.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy. Low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
