Emilia Teasdale in The Columbia Paper reports that the Ichabod Crane School Board appointed Barbara-anne Johnson-Heimroth and Michael Stead new members last week, filling the board at the coming Oct. 6 meeting. Daniel Cohn, Robert Gibbs, Johnson-Heimroth, Steven Michalek, and Mr. Stead all applied for open seats left by the resignations of Tricia Mavrides and Kyle Aschenbrenner. Both new terms expire in June 2016. Johnson-Heimroth was previously a member of the school board, until last July when she lost the May election. She runs a daycare service in the district. Stead is a 4th grade teacher in the Chatham School District. Read the full story in The Columbia Paper.
