The final line-ups for next month's village elections throughout the WGXC coverage area are crawling in, with the Daily Mail reporting today that Coxsackie Republicans recently selected political newcomer Paul Sutton to replace Trustee Greg Backus come March 15, given that Backus has opted not to run for re-election. Sutton will be joining incumbent Mayor Mark Evans, who will be seeking re-election to a second term in office, while Trustee Stephen Hanse seeks his third term. All seats are two-year terms. The trio will face no Democrat challengers on the ballot... part of a growing number of no race campaigns in Greene County, where only Athens and Tannersville have serious challenges underway this year.
