Moran pleads guilty to grand larceny charge

Jim Planck is reporting in The Daily Mail the former director of the Washington Irving Senior Center pleaded guilty Tues., Aug. 19, to third degree grand larceny, a class D felony. Anne Marie Moran was charged in March with transferring more than $70,000 from the personal banking account of an elderly senior center patron into her own account, over a period of more than a year. Under the plea agreement Moran waived indictment and will serve six months in the Greene County Jail, followed by five years probation and full restitution. Moran was a town of Catskill employee. The town owns the senior center. Moran resigned her position in April. She will be formally sentenced Oct. 7 and remains free on bail until that time. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
