UAlbany NYPIRG presents a free screening of "Gasland," the Oscar-nominated documentary on the dangers of natural gas drilling. "Gasland" is a 2010 film written and directed by Josh Fox focusing on communities in the United States impacted by natural gas drilling and, specifically, a stimulation method known as hydraulic fracturing. The film will be followed by a short presentation on grassroots efforts in New York State to stop hydraulic fracturing. Screening held in Lecture Center 2 at SUNY Albany uptown campus.
