The community group won a low-power FM license last year, and are hosting a performance of "Daughters of Dust and Divinity," about the, "dusty trials and muddy tribulations of women presented thru various poetry monologues and skits." The event is at the Opalka Gallery, 140 New Scotland Ave. in Albany, at 3 p.m. Oct. 4.

TUNE IN The Greene County NY Amateur Radio Emergency Services hold a 2015 Simulated Emergency Test Oct. 3, from 7 a.m. until noon at the Emergency Services building in Cairo. They will be using the Slow Scan TV Iphone app CQ SSTV by, Black Cats Systems.

GUEST HOST Gary McKeever fills in hosting "Local Licks," 6 p.m. Oct. 6 on WRIP (97.9-FM), the local music show.

HELP OUT The next WGXC Community Programming Advisory Committee meeting is at 5:30 p.m., Oct. 6 at the WGXC Hudson studio, 704 Columbia St., second floor. The committe reviews incoming program applications, conducts programming evaluations and provides feedback about the community program schedule. Meetings are held monthly.
