Organizers in Lexington, a mountainous town in Western Greene County, have a lack of broadband access problem, and are working on a large grant to change that. Saturday, July 18, the Lexington Broadband Initiative hosts a "Broadband Pep Rally" at the Lexington Farmers Market from 11 a.m. until noon. Executive Director of the NY State Broadband Office, David Salway, and local Assemblyperson Pete Lopez will be among the attendees. The farmers market is at the Municipal Building, 3542 Route 42, in Lexington.
