Apr 24, 2012 5:52 am
Lynn Sloneker, WGXC’s Hudson Studio Manager writes on unmuffled about a report issued by the New York State Joint Intervention Team headed by outside educational expert Dr. James Butterworth. The review was conducted between January 23 and January 25. Butterworth is scheduled to present the JIT findings to the Hudson City Board of Education, Tuesday. The team found the grade school has failed to make sufficient academic progress and it is unlikely to improve its performance under the current structure and organization. The team recommended the school develop and implement a restructuring plan to include significant changes in staff, organizational structure, leadership and/or configuration to address the issues "that continue to negatively impact student academic performance in academic areas." Butterworth will present the JIT findings to the Hudson City Board of Education, 7 p.m., Tuesday in the Hudson High School library. Read the full story on unmuffled.
