The National Weather Service predicts Friday will be sunny, with a high near 56. Friday night should be mostly clear, with a low around 34. The rest of the weekend:
• Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 58.
• Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly after 1 p.m., with a high near 59.
• Monday: Showers likely, with a high near 54.

Closings
Today is Buy Nothing Day, or Black Friday, and The Daily Freeman reports the following closures:
• Amtrak: Holiday schedule on Friday.
• County offices: Dutchess, Columbia and Greene offices open on Friday; some Ulster offices open on Friday.
• Greene County Transit: No service Friday.
• Schools: Closed Thursday and Friday.
