The Daily Freeman reports that U.S. Rep. Chris Gibson (R-Kinderhook), and Sean Eldridge (D-Shokan), will participate in a debate Thursday televised on WMHT and streamed online at wmht.org. The duo are running for Congress in New York’s 19th Congressional District which includes all of Ulster, Greene, and Columbia counties; most of Dutchess County; and all or part of seven other eastern New York counties. Gibson and Eldridge have previously debated in Lake Katrine and Poughkeepsie, with Eldridge showing up at a Catskill Meet the Candidates forum last week that Gibson did not attend.
