Committee continues funding discussion
Jan 25, 2018 2:45 pm
Ashley Hupfl reports for Columbia-Greene Media that the Downtown Revitalization Initiative committee met for the fifth time Jan. 23 to decide how to spend the $10 million meant to help the part of Hudson closer to the river. “The goal here — and I really need to emphasize this — it’s about strengthening as many of these projects as we can and that’s our job, so that when it comes time for the state to review and approve the plan, we’ve got as many strong projects and information that we need,” said Steve Kearney, a Senior Associate with Stantec, a consulting firm hired by the city to help with the state funding. Improving pedestrian and vehicular circulation and creating a public pier on the Hudson River were the favorites for funding in comments from the public. There is a Hudson DRI Public Engagement Event at 6 p.m., Feb. 8 at at the John L. Edwards Elementary School Cafeteria. Read the full story at HudsonValley360.com.
