New York Supreme Court judge Pulver dies

Tim O'Brien in The Albany Times-Union reports that 71-year-old Catskill judge George J. Pulver Jr. died this week, after serving as a Surrogate's Court judge from 1996 through 2013 and acting Supreme Court justice from 2005 through 2013. In 2011, he oversaw a case against Rensselaer County Democrats engaging in ballot fraud Attorney Brian Premo said, "He was a gentleman and a very good trial judge. I had no issues with him.... In the courtroom, I thought he was fair and paid attention." Funeral arrangements are being handled by Richards Funeral Home in Cairo and the Greene County Bar Association plans a memorial service later. Read the full story in the Times-Union.
