The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook Thurs., Aug. 21, for northwestern Connecticut, western Massachusetts, east central New York and southern Vermont. There is a chance of non-severe thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening. Any thunderstorm will be capable of producing isolated heavy rainfall amounts, which may be enough to produce localized ponding of water on roadways and minor flooding of poor drainage areas.
