Greene County Legislature to consider CGCC capital project

Kyle Wind in The Daily Freeman reports that today the Greene County Legislature's Finance and Education committees will discuss whether to add $421,800 toward a $1.9 million capital project to improve aging infrastructure at Columbia-Greene Community College, and the full Legislature should vote on the proposal at Wednesday’s meeting, according to Greene County Legislature Chairman Wayne Speenburgh, (R-Coxsackie). The Columbia County Board of Supervisors approved its share of the costs — $528,200 — unanimously on Wednesday. The state will match the counties’ $950,000 contribution, if the Legislature approves.
