Catskill Town Board: 'No parking' on Route 23A

Kemble is reporting in the Daily Freeman the Catskill Town Board will ask the state Department of Transportation to put up “No Parking” signs along state Route 23A in the hamlet of Palenville. Town Supervisor Joseph Leggio said during a board meeting this week residents have complained about parked vehicles blocking the drivers’ views. Parking has become a problem during periods of hot weather because there are several popular swimming areas along the Kaaterskill Creek. Leggio said that state officials have threatened to remove any “No Parking” signs put up by the town. Read the full story in the Daily Freeman.
