Correspondance I

Mar 08, 2014 - Apr 10, 2014
Publication Studio Hudson

460 Main Street | Catskill, NY

"Correspondance: Works and Writings between New York City" is the inaugural exhibition of Publication Studio Hudson, a publication and exhibition space established in Jan. 2014, in Hudson and Catskill by Patrick Kiley and Christin Ripley. Organized by Patrick Kiley, Christin Ripley, and guest curator Lisa Hayes Williams, "Correspondance" is the first in a series of exhibitions that seek to realize the philosophy of publication as the creation of a public, a common space where all are welcome and enter into dialogue on equal terms. Establishing communication between New York City and Catskill through the playful exchange of ideas and objects, "Correspondance" welcomes a community of collaborators and correspondents from the New York area to send, via post or train, works of any medium as an initiation of dialogue. An exhibition to be held immediately following the first will present responses created by Hudson and Catskill area artists.
