• ALMOST ON AIR WLPP-LP (102.9-FM), the new low-power Palenville radio station run by a pagan group, has been testing its FM signal in the past week in hopes of going on the air soon. The group's website does not yet have a webstream, schedule or a list of board members.
• IN ATHENS, DURHAM WGXC has live broadcasts from Athens and Durham this weekend. On Sat., July 11, "Radio Camp" broadcasts live 3:30-4 p.m. from the Athens Street Festival. WGXC also has a table at the festival all day if you are interested in learning about radio or applying for a show. On Sun., July 12, Tony Fallon hosts a live broadcast for his "The Irish Show" from The Shamrock on opening night of the East Durham Irish Arts Festival from 8-10 p.m. Sitting in on the show will be guest musicians from around these parts and visiting from Ireland.
