NY Shout Out!: Youth Media Production Workshop and Festival

On April 28, 2012 the Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy hosted the NY Shout Out production workshop and media festival. Over fifty youth media-fmakers from across NY State converged to create and share media, including: Youth FX and Tech Valley High from Albany, the Children's Media Project from Poughkeepsie, The Sanctuary from Independent Media in Troy, Berkshire Farm in Albany, and WGXC's own youth production teams: Radio Explosion and the Hot Wing-ed Girls. Participants came together to discuss their views about important social issues and to create short films around the theme of "Resolution, Revolution, and ReMix."

Participating WGXC youth include: WGXC Radio Explosion producers Courtney Murphy, Adrianna Rose Solon, Olivia Williams, Christina Vargas, and Corinthian; and the "Hot Wing-ed Girls" from Perfect Ten: Destiny Collins, Erykah Hodkins, and Nihaja Hampton.
