The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Wind Advisory until 6 p.m., Mon., Jan. 5, for the eastern Catskills, greater Capital Region, northern and central Taconics, Helderbergs and the Berkshires. Winds of 15 to 30 mph with gusts occasionally of 40 to 50 mph are possible. Winds will increase during the morning and into the early afternoon, then decrease toward sunset. Isolated power outages may occur due to damage to tree lines. Travel may also be difficult for high profile vehicles. A Hazardous Weather Outlook is also in effect through Sun., Jan. 11. Dangerously cold to life-threatening wind chills are likely the evening of Wed., Jan. 7 through the morning of Thurs., Jan. 8.

Today: A chance of snow showers, mainly before 1 p.m. Partly sunny. High near 28. Breezy, with a west wind of 20 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 49 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
