The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the Greater Capital District through the weekend. NWS forecasts a moderate risk of severe thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening. The main threat will be damaging wind gusts and large hail. There is also a threat for supercell thunderstorms with isolated tornadoes.

Public hearing

HUDSON The Mayor will hold a public hearing at 3:30 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers, City Hall, 520 Warren St., Hudson on two proposed local laws, adopted by the Common Council July 17. The first law increases penalties for dog owners who fail to clean up after their pet. The second bans smoking from city parks (828-1030).
