The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook beginning Sat., Jan. 3. A storm system will bring a period of snow to the region early Sat., Jan. 3, which will then change to a wintry mix and rain by sunrise, Sun., Jan. 4. Mostly rain is expected on Sunday. The exact snow and ice amounts are uncertain at this time. Significant river rises are also expected as temperatures war. Some minor flooding is possible.
