With Trump and Sanders, or new parties in Europe, this 2008 speech by California activist Tom Hayden is important. Hayden was a founder of Students for a Democratic Society in the '60s, was one of the Chicago Seven, and with his wife Jane Fonda was an early environmental activist. I recorded this speech at the University of British Columbia in 2008, following student protests there. Produced by Alex Smith for Radio Ecoshock.
