William J. Kemble reports in the Daily Freeman the Catskill Town Board has set a Sept. 3 public hearing for owners of the former Friar Tuck Inn on state Route 32 in Kiskatom to answer complaints the site has violated the town’s junk law. Town Supervisor Joseph Leggio said Tues., Aug. 6, that representatives of property owners L&H Resort Systems cannot be located. According to Leggio, the grass on the property has not been cut, signs are falling apart and there is garbage in the parking lot. Leggio said, “We don’t know what they’re doing or not doing out there. They’ve got debris and it looks like they’re doing some work.” L&H Resort Systems has owned the property since July 2011.
