A WGXC and Athens Cultural Center Community collaboration. Come make radio at this participatory workshop designed to get kid's hands on radio equipment and voices on the air. This workshop will introduce kids to the audio recorder and how to build skits and dialogues designed for the radio. The short pieces and public service announcements that they will produce will air on WGXC 90.7-FM, Hands-On Community Radio for Greene and Columbia Counties. No radio experience necessary. Workshop will be facilitated by Shannekia McIntosh, Program Director of WGXC 90.7 FM, and Cory Fischer-Hoffman, media- maker, organizer and trainer.
