Transmission Arts this weekend

"Open Air"
8 a.m., Sat., Oct. 6

Live transmission art show about local transmissions. As many local
frequencies, signals, and transmissions will be mixed in. Check in on
CB radio, weather radio, shortwave, scanners, cell phones,
strings-and-cups, or whatever else we can tune in. This collaborative
show may come from any location, but usually the WGXC Greene County
studios at Wave Farm in Acra and the Catskill Community Center.

"Radia: Tour de Radia"
10 a.m., Sat., Oct. 6
The "Tour de Radia" consists of 22 one-minute-long excerpts of
previous "Radia" shows, one from each of the current member stations
that has contributed to the network so far. This choice was made and
presented by Mobile Radio at the SONOR festival in Nantes, France in
May 2012. "Radia" is an international network of radio stations
interested in new and creative ways to make radio art.
