Record year for camping in New York

Politics on the Hudson reports in Capitol Confidential that after after a record-setting 2014, camping at New York state is up 5.2 percent this year. There have been 562,000 overnight stays at state park campgrounds through Aug. 17, according to Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office on Aug. 21. “We’re on track for a banner year at New York state campgrounds and it’s not too late to see what you’ve been missing,” Cuomo said in a statement.
