12:02 a.m.: The War of the War of the Worlds Tom Roe's annual Halloween remixing of Orson Welles' radio play with audio from current world wars mixed in.
4 a.m.: Radio Theatre: O Negative Commitments From the folks at KZ88, "O Negative Commitments" is a campy bloody dark comedy about an attack from the undead. After the screams, sound effects, and dialog we learn that there is only one thing that zombies are truly afraid of: Commitment. It's an original story by A.Chris and was originally performed live at a local amphitheater as a stage play (including drenching the audience with 155 gallons of stage blood.) This is the radio version of the play. The original characters were recorded in our studio and some of the dialog rewritten to explain actions to listeners. This show is available through the Pacifica radio archives.

This week features interviews with guest Al McCoy and Urszula Masny-Latos. McCoy, Professor of History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to talk about his new book "Torture and Impunity: The U.S. Doctrine of Coercive Interrogation." Masny-Latos, Executive Director of the Massachusetts National Lawyers Guild since 1996, grew up in Poland, where she was active in the student movement. After moving to the U.S., she attended University of California at Santa Cruz where she majored in sociology and legal studies; her graduate work in arts management was done at the New School for Social Research in New York City. Prior to her Guild employment, Urszula organized arts festivals, managed a theater company, and worked as an organizer for a union in Boston.
