Oct 23, 2012 5:47 am
Nathan Mayberg reports in the Register Star on the new option for Internet service using a technology known as television white spaces through antennas, or Internet over the air. ASA Networks, a New York City-based startup, is running a test program in Gallatin, offering residents free access through the end of the year. All that is required is an antenna to connect. So far, 50 people have signed up. The service is free until January. Officials in the towns of Ancram, Austerlitz, Canaan, Claverack and Hillsdale have expressed interest in bringing ASA's services to their towns. Read the full story in the Register Star.
