Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo Wed., Jan. 15, announced Virginia-based Ferguson Enterprises Inc. will establish a new distribution center in Coxsackie. Ferguson is the largest distributor of residential and commercial plumbing supplies in the nation. The Coxsackie location will serve as a distribution hub for Ferguson's New York retailers and locations throughout New England. The company expects to create 95 new jobs. The planned 460,000 square foot warehouse will be built in the Fountain Flats Business Park. In a statement released Wednesday, the Greene County IDA said it is supporting the project with a suggested 20-year PILOT, a sales tax exemption on capital expenditures to establishing the facility, implementation of a natural gas line to the site and assistance with the permitting process.
