Nov 28, 2011 5:33 am
Doron Tyler Antrim in The Daily Mail reports that New York City Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Carter Strickland said Sunday that two city-owned land parcels in Prattsville along the east and west sides of Schoharie Creek will expand recreational use and eliminate access permit requirements. On the other side of the creek, accessible from Route 23, DEP is making 116 acres a Public Access Area that does not require permits and allow for hunting, hiking, trapping, and fishing.
