Michael Ryan is reporting in the Windham Journal Margaret Sokoll and Patricia Morrow were recognized last week by the Town of Windham Historical Society for their longtime dedication and service. Trustee Emeritus plaques were presented to the two women, founding members of the Society and vital contributors to its mission. “For the rest of their lives they have a right to participate in our organization. We would not be where we are without them,” said Society secretary John Smith said during the presentation. In addition to her Society activities, Sokoll writes for the Windham Journal, producing the weekly “Talk of the Town” column. Morrow is active on social media, having assembled a Facebook page for the Historical Society, which is often used as a model for similar groups. The event also acknowledged the contributions made by the Society's founding chairperson, Margy Davis, and the original members of the board of trustees. Read the full story in The Windham Journal.
