Special Weather Statement from the National Weather Service

The National Weather Services advises a flood watch remains in effect until late Tuesday. A high wind watch remains in effect until 11 a.m., Tuesday morning.
Strong wind gusts associated with the circulation of post tropical cyclone Sandy will impact the eastern Catskills, Mid-Hudson Valley, southern Taconics, southern Berkshires and Litchfield Hills through midnight. Sustained winds will average 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 50 to 70 mph expected. This will cause damange to trees and power lines, with power outages likely across the region. These strong gusty winds will make conditions very hazardous across the area due to possible flying debris and falling trees. Travel is high discouraged.
