Noon: Other Music: Dark Circuits Festival
This edition of Other Music includes a special preview of Hans Tammen's Dark Circuits Festival, which takes place in New York City June 14-23 and features performers who work in contemporary electronic music and sound practices such as circuit bending, no-input mixers, laptops, turntablism, analog circuitry, network sniffers, live coding and soldering, plus other instruments we may have never heard of yet. Participating artists include Matthew Ostrowski, Andrea Parkins, Dafna Naphtali, Miguel Frasconi, Phillip Stearns, Philip White, Joshua Fried, Shoko Nagai, Maria Chavez, Satoshi Takeishi, Joker Nies, Mario DeCega, Lars Graugaard, and Michael Vorfeld. Festival venues include Eyebeam, MakeMusicNY, Spectrum, The Firehouse, Shapeshifter, Harvestworks, Reverse Gallery and Outpost Artist Services.
