The National Weather Services has issued a High Wind Warning for eastern New York and western New England effective 10 p.m. Wednesday, through 6 p.m., Thursday. Damaging wind gusts are likely this evening and overnight. Winds of 20 to 35 mph with gusts to 65 mph are expected. The winds will shift Thursday morning behind the advancing cold front, becoming more persistent and widespread across the area. A NWS Flood Watch continues through Thursday, as well.
