FaceTime privacy bug revealed

Todd Haselton is reporting for CNBC on the bug that allows people to hear or see you even if you do not answer a FaceTime call on an iPhone. Apple said Jan. 28, a fix is on the way for the massive privacy bug that allows someone to listen to or see you through your iPhone. Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo issued a consumer alert urging New Yorkers to disable the app. “The FaceTime bug is an egregious breach of privacy,” Cuomo said in a statement. “I am deeply concerned by this irresponsible bug that can be exploited for unscrupulous purposes.” The company responded to the online reports, saying, "We're aware of this issue and we have identified a fix that will be released in a software update later this week."
