Copake Planning Board closes gas station public hearing
Dec 13, 2019 12:11 am
Diane Valden reports for the Columbia Paper that the Copake Planning Board voted Dec. 5 to close the public hearing on the proposed gas station on the northwest corner of the state Route 23, county Route 7 and Craryville Road. The GRJH, Inc. application has been before the planning board for more than two years, with many local residents objecting to the proposal on environmental grounds. Bob Haight, Steve Savarese, Marcia Becker, and Julie Cohen all voted to end the public participation in the process, while Jon Urban and Ed Sawchuk voted to continue public comment, and Chris Grant was absent. The Copake Planning Board meets next at 7 p.m. January 2. Read more about this story in the Columbia Paper.
