Catskill, Hunter-Tannersville to share food service

Jim Planck is reporting in The Daily Mail the Hunter-Tannersville Central School District will share Catskill Central School District’s cafeteria management beginning July 1. The Catskill Board of Education gave the plan the green light Wed., June 11; the Hunter-Tannersville board is expected to make its decision next week. The move to consolidate food services was made after the Hunter-Tannersville cafeteria budget reported a loss of approximately $50,000 per year for the past six years. Under the new contract, Catskill's Director of Food Service William Muirhead will work out of Hunter-Tannersville once a week and a new part-time person will be hired and assigned to work at both the Hunter and the Tannersville cafeterias.
