Route 9G to be resurfaced this summer

Jun 24, 2015 6:32 am
Roger Hannigan Gilson is reporting in the Register Star the section of Route 9G north of the Dutchess-Columbia line will be resurfaced this summer. Traffic delays may result. Patching on the road is being removed in preparation for the repairs, according to a spokesman from the New York State Department of Transportation. The patching has been applied to repair damage that has occurred since the section was last resurfaced in 1997. The underlying road will not be stripped or removed before the new asphalt is applied. The work is part of a larger repair and maintenance project throughout the region.
