Kyle Adams is reporting in The Daily Mail a civil rights complaint alleging sexual abuse at the Greene County Jail has been settled out of court for $85,000. A similar case was brought and settled in August 2013 for $65,000. Schermerhorn, of Cairo, and Corrections Officer Ernest Dunn of Catskill, who was named in a separate case, were fired in late 2012, when the allegations of sexual abuse first came to light. The criminal cases against both officers are still pending. Seeley has maintained the problem at the jail ended with the firing of Dunn and Schermerhorn. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
