Deadline set for Price Chopper decision
Dec 26, 2012 5:00 am
Gail Heinsohn reports in the Chatham Courier the Ghent Planning Board now has 62 days to rule on the pending proposal to relocate the Price Chopper supermarket from Chatham Plaza into a new 45,000-square-foot space located nearby. During a recent meeting of the board, attorneys and engineers presented various arguments on the proposal, which has been pending for more than two years. At issue is whether the new 24-hour facility is in keeping with the character of Chatham village. The board can rule immediately, or take time to study the proposal within the 62-day deadline. Board members agreed to take more time to examine the plan. Read the full story in the Chatham Courier.
