PEF, state reach tentative agreement

Casey Seiler reports in Capitol Confidential that the Public Employees Federation and Gov. Andrew Cuomo's administration announced a tentative three-year labor agreement on Oct. 19 with a two percent wage increase. “Both the state and PEF agree to work together on a plan to reduce out-of-control healthcare costs,” says the statement from the governor’s office. “Other elements of the contract will be released shortly.” The PEF's Executive Board and membership must approve the agreement.
