Catskill begins budget process

Aug 19, 2016 12:05 am
Catskill Town Supervisor Doreen Davis began the first steps of next year's town budget process at the town meeting Aug. 17 that was broadcast by WGXC. She reported the town has only collected 63 percent of revenues due so far this year, and instructed department heads to check their own figures to make sure the town stays solvent. Davis said at the meeting that she is sitting down with all department heads to go over their budgets, and identify a "bottom ten percent" that can be cut if there is a budget shortfall.
