AG establishes nursing home hotline

Apr 27, 2020 12:45 pm
MidHudsonNews [dot] com is reporting state Attorney General Letitia James has established a hotline to allow nursing home residents, families, or members of the public to share complaints about facilities that have failed to provide the required communications with families about COVID-19 diagnoses or fatalities. The hotline will also accept complaints about nursing home abuse and neglect, including failure to follow rules to keep residents safe. “Every nursing home should be provided with adequate PPE and testing, and enhanced infection control protocols must be implemented to protect residents,” James said. Complaints may be filed online at ag [dot] ny [dot] gov, or by calling 833-249-8499. Read the full story at MidHudsonNews [dot] com.
