The Daily Freeman is reporting Bard College will host paid, guided tours of the historic Montgomery Place mansion on Saturdays and by appointment, beginning Sat., Jun. 3, through Oct. 21. The college purchased the nearly 400-acre estate in 2015 for an undisclosed sum. The main building was constructed in the early 19th century and originally used by members of the Livingston family. Montgomery Place was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1992. The grounds are open to the public daily, from dawn to dusk.
