Last week in Athens the one, big, old tree in the waterfront park downtown was cut down during park renovations. The tree was supposed to have been preserved, and its cutting has caused consternation in town. Athens Mayor Andrea Smallwood addressed those concerns during a live interview Thursday, Dec. 9 on "Tell It Like It Is" on WGXC Online Radio. The show, hosted by Christina Malisoff, Sam Sebren, Richard Roth, and Alan Skerrett, airs live each Thursday during the WGXC Morning Show.
