A Flood Watch remains in effect through Thursday morning, Oct. 1, for all of east central New York and western New England. Heavy rainfall will continue to fall across the area into Wednesday morning before weakening to light rain Wednesday afternoon. Rainfall rates could exceed an inch per hour at times this morning. Total rainfall amounts of two to four inches are still expected at this time. Locally higher amounts are possible where bands of heavy rain move across the same areas.
