State Sen. Daphne Jordan has named Columbia County Clerk Holly Tanner the 2019 "Woman of Distinction" in the 43rd Senate District. The Halfmoon Republican made the announcement on Facebook April 11. The state Senate's Woman of Distinction program highlights women statewide for their contributions that have enriched the quality of life at home and beyond. "Holly Tanner fits this description to a "T" (as in Tanner and TRUSTED)!!! Nobody has done more to faithfully serve, represent and fight for Columbia County taxpayers, and improve their quality of life, than Holly Tanner," wrote Jordan. The state Senate Women of Distinction public ceremony will be held in Albany, May 7. Note: Tanner is an active WGXC programmer.
