Cairo-Durham picks new superintendent

Kyle Adams reports in The Daily Mail the Cairo-Durham Central School District has a new superintendent. The Board of Education Thurs., Dec. 6, appointed Mary Fassett to the district's top post. Fassett will begin work Dec. 17. She is the former Superintendent of Schools for the Downsville Central School District. She also previously worked for the Fort Ann Central School District and the Mechanicville Central School District. Board president Greg Koerner-Fox said Fassett was the unanimous choice, given her teaching and administrative experience. Fassett said she was impressed by the combined potential of the Cairo-Durham district and its community. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
