Ashley Miller reports for WNYT that the Ichabod Crane boys basketball team won its first ever state championship March 20. The Ichabod Crane Riders beat Friends Academy 63-62 in the Class B state championship game at Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls. The team won despite star Brett Richards going down with an ankle injury in the first quarter, but he returned and helped the Riders with a comeback with 19 points and 16 rebounds.
